Course Overview

Industrial plant commissioning and startup can be complex, requiring detailed planning and management of all activities.  The commissioning process starts early in the project cycle, well before the commissioning team mobilizes to site.  Off-site testing starts during Factory Acceptance Testing and ends with final performance verification and handover to the owner.

This course teaches the entire electrical commissioning process from beginning to end.

 

Instructor Bio

Paul Turner is a Professional Electrical Engineer and a registered Project Management Professional.  He has worked in the aerospace industry building satellites and rockets for the Canadian Space Agency, the power generation industry building a hydro-electric generating station, the power transmission industry building a 2300 MW HVDC link, as well as the municipal wastewater industry building and upgrading a wastewater treatment plant.  While working on these projects, he has gained valuable experience working with complex systems.
